25-meter pine topples after heavy rain

Mexico City, Mexico — Five vehicles were seriously damaged after a tree fell on them in the parking area of an apartment complex.

The apartment complex is in the Gustavo A Madero delegation of in Mexico City. Reports say the tree that fell was approximately 25 meters tall, and when it fell, completely covered at least five cars.

The local fire department says the large tree toppled over after heavy rains hit the area, softening the ground. They say the tree literally lifted out of the ground adding it took them more than three hours to cut the tree remove the main pieces.

Firemen, police and civil protection personnel were on site to cut and remove the 25-meter Pine tree to begin evaluating damage.

Damaged vehicles included three vans and two cars along with a large awning.
