American comedian Rob Schneider takes in Mexico game

Monterrey, Nuevo León — A historic final was experienced at the Sultana del Norte where the two best teams of the tournament, Rayados and Tigres, provided a show to packed stands of the new Monterrey stadium to enjoy the great encounter in the Classic Royal.

After having been tied to one in the first leg in the University Stadium, the Tigers of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon managed to take the game by defeating with a score of 2 goals to 1 Rayados de Monterrey in what was undoubtedly the most important Regiomontano Classic in its history.

Colombian Dorlan Pabón put Rayados ahead in just two minutes of play after a shot from outside the area, however, the Tigres knew how to recover from that hard blow and through the Chilean Eduardo Vargas at 30 minutes and center back Francisco Meza at 34, they were able to turn the scoreboard around, completely silencing a stadium.

One of the moments that will remain marked in the memory of the regios fans was the penalty missed by the Colombian striker Aviles Hurtado a few minutes after finishing the match, because if he had scored he would have forced extra time.

At the end of the match the celebrations by players and fans began.

One of the bigger surprises was comedian Rob Schneider, who is a faithful fan of the Tigers and for that reason, did not hesitate to congratulate the club.

The actor used his social networks where he highlighted the show given by the two teams he said are the best clubs in Mexican football.

“CONGRATULATIONS TO @TIGRESOFICIAL AND ITS FANATICS! VIVA MONTERREY FOR THE BEST 2 TEAMS IN MEXICO! CHAMPION AGAIN!”, Rob wrote on his Twitter account.

The American comedian was in Monterrey and enjoyed the final of Mexican football at the university stadium where he gave a short message of support minutes before the referee whistled the start of the game.
