American man wanted for sexual assault arrested in Mexico City

Mexico City, Mexico — An American man has been arrested and deported back to the United States in a joint investigative effort.

Agents of the Federal Police and the National Institute of Migration (INM) arrested Radwan N in the vicinity of the International Airport of Mexico City who was wanted by United States authorities for pederasty.

The American man, who has been evading US justice for the last two years, was arrested in Mexico City. He is wanted by a Texas judge for aggravated sexual assault against a minor.

The National Security Commission (CNS) reported that after a verification inspection regarding his status in Mexico, they found Radwan N was in the country illegally.

Due to his irregular stay in Mexico, Radwan was deported to the United States and handed over to US authorities.

The National Security Commission reported that with the exchange of information between the North American agencies Administration for Drug Control, the Immigration and Customs Control Service and the Corps of US Marshals, they were able to track down Radwan.

Authorities say Radwan was arrested heading to the Mexico International Airport where he was set to board a plane to Spain.

In April, Fernando Maldonado, a 37-year-old former Bay Area minister who fled to Mexico while on trial for 23 counts of child sex abuse, was also arrested in Mexico City.
