Cool temperatures, strong winds felt across most of Mexico

Mexico City, Mexico — Weather around the country will continue to be cool with some areas dipping down to only 5C.

Temperatures will continue to rise in the northeastern, eastern and central states of the country while a cold front in the northern border of Mexico will give rise to strong winds exceeding 60 km / h with possible whirlpools in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas.

Maximum temperatures from 35 to 40 ° C will be felt for Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Durango, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo , Morelos, Puebla, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.

Minimum temperatures below 5 ° C will be felt in Mountainous areas of Baja California, Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Durango, Aguascalientes, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Veracruz, Puebla, Tlaxcala and the State of Mexico.

Strong winds with gusts greater than 60 km / h and possible tolvaneras or vortices are forecast for Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas.
