Ocotlán de Morelos, Oaxaca — The naked corpse of a 24-year-old woman was found Thursday morning on the Ocotlán highway in Morelos-Ejutla de Crespo, in the Central Valleys region of Oaxaca.
It was approximately at 6:45 a.m. when authorities received the report that the lifeless body of a female person was on that federal route, at the height of El Vergel, just in front of a tomato packing plant.
Police officers went to the site where they confirmed that the naked corpse of a woman was found in the middle of the asphalt belt, so they cordoned off the area while waiting for the arrival of the Public Prosecutor and the staff of the State Agency of Investigations, to initiate the corresponding proceedings.
At the scene of the events arrived moments later relatives of the deceased today, whom they identified as Carolina Santiago Gracia, 24 years old.
Margarita María Santiago, the grandmother of the young woman, said that her granddaughter suffered from her mental faculties and since Thursday morning had left her home, located in the town of Coatecas Altas in the district of Ejutla.
The body, which has several blows, was transferred to the amphitheater of San Bartolo to determine the causes of his death.
The feminicide group of the Oaxaca Public Prosecutor’s Office began with the necessary investigations.
