Drugs found being shipped inside altered toy doll

Tlaquepaque, Jalisco — A dog from the canine narcotic unit of Jalisco has detected drugs in a doll.

A canine of the Federal Forces Division of the Federal Police, which supports inspection tasks, detected 400 grams of marijuana in a doll. The drug was inside the toy, which was transported in a cardboard box from a parcel company in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco.

When carrying out an inspection, officers noticed the shape of the body of the doll had been altered. “By removing a pink romper, it was possible to detach the arms and plastic head,” explained federal police. “Inside were hidden six irregularly shaped package made with cinnamon tape containing the drugs,” they added in a statement.

The package with the toy and the drugs, which were destined for an address in Hermosillo, Sonora, were made available to the Public Ministry of the Federation who will continue with investigations.
