Famous footballer Alan Pulido suffers car accident

Guadalajara, Jalisco — Famous football forward, Alan Pulido suffered a car accident while driving in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara early Monday morning.

The Mexican striker, his companions and the occupants of the other vehicle were unharmed, reported the Chivas de Guadalajara Club. The player had not been called up for the game against Veracruz since he was still recovering from a muscle injury.

The car clash occurred around midnight on the Patria Avenue of the municipality of Zapopan. The Audi R8 that he was driving crashed sideways against another car in front of the Autonomous University of Guadalajara.

The front of Pulido’s vehicle was destroyed with major damage to the right side.

“Alan Pulido suffered an automobile accident … when he was driving home, where a vehicle passed through the red traffic light and hit the car in which he was driving.

“The car was driven by his companion Ignacio Alpizar Vázquez” Guadalajara Club said in a statement.

Pulido, who has not issued any statement at the time, jumped last year to the cover of the Mexican media after he was kidnapped in his native state of Tamaulipas in northern Mexico.

It was reported that the then player of the Greek league Olympiacos managed to subdue two of his captors and call the authorities to release him. Fans of the Chivas have extended their support to the player after the crash.

The Chivas have not issued any official statement.
