Guadalajara, Jalisco – Beginning November 23, Interjet will offer direct flights from Puerto Vallarta to Los Angeles California. The direct connection between both locations will be on behalf of the airline Interjet , which will also have direct travel from Los Cabos and El Bajío.
Interjet, which is based in Mexico City, already has nonstop flights from LAX to Cancun, Mexico City and Guadalajara.
The new flights are scheduled to start on Thanksgiving, November 23. Interjet will use Airbus A320 aircraft with 150 seats. The initial schedule from Los Angeles will be for three flights per week to Los Cabos, four flights a week to Puerto Vallarta and daily service to El Bajio. Round-trip fares start at $199 to Los Cabos and $259 to Puerto Vallarta and El Bajío.
“These new international flights are important to Interjet as they will complement our ever-expanding network offering leisure and business travelers more destinations to choose from when traveling to Mexico from the U.S.,” José Luis Garza, Interjet’s chief executive, said in a statement.
The main market in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit in the United States is California, due to the great economic potential, as well as the historical, cultural, tourist and business links between the two destinations.
In a statement, Interjet’s Sales Manager in Los Angeles, Marisa Diaz, said she had great expectations regarding the number of passengers, “because of the travel interest between the communities of both destinations, Puerto Vallarta is widely known in Los Angeles and its area of influence, being considered one of the most beautiful destinations for vacations on the Mexican Pacific coast.”
