La Paz, Baja California Sur — Recent meetings held with Southwest airlines could see international air connections from the United States with the state’s capital city.
Meetings held between la Secretaría de Turismo, Economía y Sustentabilidad of Baja California Sur and the subsecretaría de Planeación y Política Turística del Gobierno Federal with Southwest Airlines could result in La Paz being connected with several major US cities.
Luis Humberto Araiza López, head of Turismo, Economía y Sustentabilidad explained that “La Paz has an extraordinary tourism potential that is being recognized by the global market, which is why we are joining forces […] to consolidate our capital city as a world-class destination.”
He says that La Paz is undergoing international highlights with the recognition of world-class events such as the Tour de France Stage La Paz competition, which is why they are wanting to connect the destination with the US.
