Mexican arrested in US, extradited back to Mexico

Playas de Rosarito, Baja California — The Attorney General of the Republic through the Deputy Attorney General’s Office and International Affairs reports that a fugitive wanted in Mexico for his probable participation in the commission of the crime of homicide qualified by gangs, was delivered in extradition by authorities of the United States of America.

The office of Internal Affairs has reported that Fernando G is required in Mexico upon the existence of a re-arrest warrant issued against him by a Criminal Trial Court Judge of Playas de Rosarito, Baja California.

After being detained in the USA, the Government of Mexico requested his extradition. In October, the US State Department reported that a Magistrate Judge found sufficient evidence to grant the extradition request made by authorities of Mexico.

Fernando G was guarded and transferred by agents of the Public Ministry of the Federation and personnel of the Agency of Criminal Investigation assigned to INTERPOL Mexico. He was delivered to the custody of the Attorney General’s Office of Baja California.

His arrest and extradition back to Mexico totals 91 people extradited back to the country from the United States so far this year.
