Mexican drugs found in chip shipment bound for US

Mexico City, Mexico —  A truck carrying a load of Paketaxos and Doritos was found to be also carrying drugs.

Police “Detected anomalies in the container that was allegedly transporting fried corn. After conducting a physical review with the support of a canine narcotics dog and x-rays”, police found nearly 528 kilos of marijuana inside 2,310 packages of unopened boxes.

The shipment originated from the city of Puebla and was destined for the ship Falmouth for Port Manatee, Florida.

The drugs were handed over to authorities for further investigations. The drugs were discovered in an operation carried out in Coatzacoalcos Port Precinct by naval personnel assigned to the Third Naval Zone.
