Mexican president offers condolences after Nevada attack

Mexico City, Mexico — President Enrique Peña Nieto condemned the massacre that occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada, in which a subject opened fire against attendees of a country music concert.

The Mexican president took to social media where he said, “Mexico condemns and regrets the tragic shooting in Las Vegas. Our solidarity and thoughts are with the victims and their families.”

According to official reports, the attacker, a 64-year-old man, killed at least 58 people and injured hundreds of others in a surprise attack against concert goers in Nevada.

“We express our deepest condolences with the people of the United States for the terrible events that occurred this morning,” added Peña Nieto.

He also said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is on standby to support Mexicans who may have been affected during the attack.
