Mexican state of Oaxaca to be most visited in 2018

In 2018, travel for Latin American visitors is expected to include destinations in Mexico, Central America, South America and North America, according to estimates from users of the travel market, Airbnb.

In a statement, the company explained that Mexico is the country with more cities visited by travelers from the region, and presents the four destinations with the highest growth, with Oaxaca leading the list with a 554 percent increase.

In second place, is Mazatlán, Sinaloa, with 358 percent with the next being Guadalajara, Jalisco, with 356 percent. The fourth is expected to be Chetumal, Quintana Roo, with 351 percent growth, and then the Brazilian town of Foz de Iguacu, with 337 percent.

The company added that the most visited destination in Central America by Latinos is the capital of Guatemala, with an increase of 318 percent, while in the United States, the preferred city is San Antonio with 324 percent.

In the global travel forecast, Tokyo is expected to overtake Paris as the most reserved city for travelers.

The said that the most popular destinations include the city of Indianapolis in the United States, the Brazilian coast Matinhos and the alpine retreats of Fernie, as well as the classic Paris in France, New York in the United States and London, England.
