Mexico City, Mexico — More than 30 small earthquakes were recorded Sunday along the Pacific coast of Mexico with two low intensity quakes being recorded in Mexico City Sunday night.
According to the National Seismological Service, the two Mexico City earthquakes were reported around 10:30 p.m. Through their Twitter account, the seismological service said that the the largest of the two occurred at 10:34 northwest of the Magdalena Contreras delegation.
The Command, Control, Computing, Communications and Citizen Contact Center of CDMX (C5) indicated that one of the seismic movements was recorded in the Tacubaya area and that no damage or injuries were reported at the time.
Fausto Lugo, secretary of Civil Protection of CDMX, confirmed that so far there has yet to be any reports of damage or injuries, adding that the earthquake was noticeable in Miguel Hidalgo, Alvaro Obregón and Magdalena Contreras.
Throughout the day, the National Seismological Service recorded varying degrees of small earthquakes along the entire Pacific coast with mangitudes ranging from less than 2.0 up to 3.9.
