Ricardo Anaya joins in the candidacy for Mexico presidential elections

Mexico City, Mexico — The fight in the presidential election of 2018 is between the coalition Por México al Frente and Andrés Manuel López Obrador, said Ricardo Anaya, who confirmed he will compete to be a candidate for the Presidency.

“The contest is between the Front and this option of stale ideas represented by López Obrador.

“It is clear how we are starting with the PRI in a distant third place, making the contest between the Front and this rancid option that López Obrador represents,” Anaya said in an interview with Carlos Loret de Mola in Despierta.

He hoped that for the following year there will be a clear pointer “That we are going to be us”, because, he said, “the PRI is deeply discredited, it is in a third place”.

The former national president of the PAN said that the leader of Morena, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, is going for his third presidential campaign and will not be able to grow more because his ideas are “old and failed”.

Although he has not yet defined who will coordinate his campaign, Anaya Cortés said it will be a plural team with intellectuals, academics and civil society organizations.

He explained that within the Citizen Front for Mexico it was agreed that PAN should lead the presidential candidacy, the PRD in Mexico City, and that Movimiento Ciudadano will take a different hand .

Ricardo Anaya affirmed that he has an extraordinary relationship with Miguel Ángel Mancera, who over the weekend, announced that he would remain in the Government Headquarters and would support the Front’s decision.

“I recognize (Mancera) that he has made the decision to stay at the head of the city government,” he said.
