Riviera Nayarit, Nayarit — In order to increase and strengthen security in the municipalities of Riviera Nayarit, state officials have added new patrol vehicles.
The tourist police of Riviera Nayarit have six new patrol vehicles to use in security and surveillance around the region. The announcement of the additional vehicles comes from Riviera Nayarit Governor Antonio Echevarría García, along with the Secretaries of Tourism and Public Security and the mayor of Bahía de Banderas.
The mayor acknowledged the support of the Tourist Promotion Trust for the acquisition of the units, which will substantially reinforce the task of providing security in the tourist corridor for that municipality, as well as Compostela and San Blas.
Echevarría García asked State Public Safety Secretary, Javier Herrera Valles, to continue taking care of Nayarit residents and visitors while ensuring that the support of his government for the destination, adding that it continues to be an unbeatable place for investment and tourism.
He reiterated that “This is a facilitating government, that all we want is for the investment to come so there is more development, more employment, more taxes and more work, and given this cycle, there is more money which is what we want.”
The Secretary of Public Safety said that the new vehicles will allow them to establish a tactical-police strategy with professional service as well as “To watch and react in a timely manner to any act of violence against society including national and foreign tourists who visit.”
