Study finds Riviera Maya Mexico’s preferred destination for women

Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo — A recent study finds Mexico’s Riviera Maya to be a preferred destination for women.

According to a traveling and trends study by Best Day Travel, Riviera Maya was the preferred destination in Mexico for women travelers this March. The report says the reasons for the preference are simply due to the region’s charm, its aquatic life and vibrant beaches.

Their study also found that other preferred female travel destinations this month included Cayos de Cuba and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Best Day revealed that women who travel with friends prefer Cancun, Las Vegas and Medellin, Colombia. Those traveling in pairs as couples opted for Playa del Carmen, Aruba and Jamaica.

As for shopping trips, the preferred destinations for women turned out to be Miami and New York.

The report revealed that more than 50 percent of women prefer to visit as many places as possible when arriving at their destination.

In terms of travel planning, 57 percent of women research their destination before traveling, and once there, 67 percent of them prefer to travel on their own.

According to Trip Advisor 2018 Traveler’s Choice, Playa del Carmen has been rated the number one place in Mexico to visit this year.
