Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas — A judge in the state of Tamaulipas has found a suspect in the death of a local journalist linked to the crime.
A judge has found Óscar Zuriel N to be involved and possibly responsible in the homicide of journalist Héctor González. González was found beaten to death in May in the city of Cuidad Victoria, however, authorities were unable to determine how his death was provoked.
The Attorney General’s Office of Tamaulipas reports that evidence presented shows that Óscar Zuriel N was involved in the crime committed against the journalist Héctor González Antonio, who worked as a correspondent for Grupo Imagen and Excélsior.
Óscar Zuriel will remain in preventive detention for the duration of the process, as well as six months for the additional investigation.
