Three men gunned down in broad daylight in Michoacán

Uruapan, Michoacán — Three men who stopped at a store to make a purchase were shot by an unknown assailant before being robbed.

The shooting took place in broad daylight Tuesday as the three men, who were reportedly avocado farmers, descended from a white truck to buy items inside a small store.

Less than a minute after their arrival, a man disguised with a hat and face scarf exchanged words with the men. One of them responds, indicating to an item on the front passenger seat. After grabbing what appears to be a briefcase, the assailant shoots all three men before taking off on foot.

The entire event was recorded by store surveillance and has since hit social media networks.

Staff of the Attorney General of the State of Michoacán arrived to investigate while ambulances arrived to transport the men to hospital, however, two died on the sidewalk. The third man died in hospital July 10.
