Three suspected kidnappers arrested in Oaxaca

Oaxaca, Oaxaca — The Oaxaca Secretariat of Public Security (SSPO) reported that after a security operation, three suspects responsible for kidnapping have been arrested.

According to the report, the police patrolled the known route of the kidnappers in the District of San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec, where they identified the three men.

The accused, Augusto MS, Eugenio GB, and Daniel RD, aged 39, 29 and 31, respectively, appear to be part of a kidnapping gang operating in that area; they also carried short guns.  They were also found in violation of the Federal Firearms and Explosives Act.

Police confiscated a squad-type gun, caliber 380; a 9 mm pistol and a revolver-type pistol, as well as a 20 cartridges.

Given the situation, the subjects were transferred and placed at the disposal of the corresponding authorities, who will be in charge of carrying out the necessary investigations and determining the legal situation of each one.
