Three unclaimed newborns remain at Puerto Vallarta hospital

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco — Three babies born in a Puerto Vallarta hospital since August have not been claimed by their mothers.

A report from a social worker says that three babies born in the Regional Hospital of Puerto Vallarta remain unclaimed. While the mothers were discharged, the babies were left behind.

The report says that the three babies, born August 19, 30 and October 20, remain unclaimed by their mothers. Two of the children have since been integrated into the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF).

All three mothers, who registered at the hospital in their rightful names, have been notified by services that their children remain in the hospital, however, none of them have come forward to claim the children.

Pedro Cordova Aréchiga, public prosecutor, continues to search for the parents. The ages or economic status of the women was not detailed.
