The Tourism Promotion Trust of Cozumel and Riviera Maya, along with the Cancun Convention Center and Aeromexico, made a promotional presentation to travel agents from Monterrey, Querétaro, León and Mexico City.
Aeroméxico was on hand, promoting their direct flights from Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Cuba to Cancun. The tourist fair included travel agents from around the country who were provided with details on Mexico’s top destinations.
The group promoted Cancun and Riviera Maya regions as the most desirable destinations in the country. Riviera Maya, for example, continues to be rated a favorite beach destination in the country. Located on the southeastern coast of the State of Quintana Roo, it is easily accessible from the Cancun International Airport.
Riviera Maya offers visitors a large network of underground rivers and more than 100 cenotes and eco-experiences such as kayaking, diving, hiking, bird watching and sport fishing. It has a wide variety of hotels, from luxury hotels, all-inclusive properties, to boutique hotels with excellent first-class facilities and the great hospitality of its inhabitants.
Cancun is world renowned for its spectacular white sand beaches and its fascinating turquoise sea, as well as the excellent air connectivity and first-rate infrastructure that make it the leading tourist destination in Latin America.
It combines glamour, nature, Mayan culture and world-class services with seductive entertainment offers and an extraordinary gastronomic experience. An essential part of Cancun’s offer is its surroundings, which are part of the attractions that create the magic of the area: Isla Mujeres, Isla Holbox, Isla Contoy and Puerto Morelos, destinations with a unique personality.
Cozumel, the third largest island in Mexico, is located east of the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula in the State of Quintana Roo. There are numerous flights to Cozumel, as well as having temporary charter flights from Canada and the United States.
Currently direct flights are available from Miami, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit, Minneapolis, Montreal and Toronto, as well as direct flights from Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Cancun – Cozumel. Cozumel is rich in history and natural wonders.
