La Paz, Baja California Sur — The attorney general of Baja California Sur says two people were arrested in two separate incidences carrying more than 1,100 packets of crystal.
In operations carried out in the municipalities of La Paz and Mulegé, two people were arrested with more than 1,100 doses of illicit substances, announced the Attorney General of the State (PGJE).
The agency reported that in a first arrest, agents of the Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit intercepted Jorge N in the town of Villa Alberto Alvarado. The subject was identified by PGJE as a native of Oaxaca who was found with 497 doses of crystal.
The following day, a man identified only as F.N., who police say is a native of Sonora, was arrested in the state capital when members of the narcotics crime unit were driving through the streets of Valle del Mezquite. They found that, after a search, the man was in possession of 625 doses of crystal.
Both men were taken into custody and the drugs confiscated and handed over to authorities where they will continue with their investigation process.
