Acapulco, Guerrero — Beginning October 11, visitors from Los Angeles will be able to book flights to the seaside destination city of Acapulco.
Guerrero state governor, Héctor Astudillo Flores, made the announcement after talks with the Council of Tourism Promotion of Mexico (CPTM) and the Mexican Organization of Aviation. Throughout negotiations they were able to strengthen tourism with Volaris flights that will begin operating in December.
While tickets go on sale for the Los Angeles – Acapulco October 11, there was no exact date in December as to when the flights will begin, only an announcement from Astudillo Flores that they will begin the new route within the first few days of December.
He says the negotiations represent a great achievement since there has not been a new international route in several years, adding that this will add a greater flow of tourists to the beach destination.
